How many kilograms of food an elephant eats per day

Do you know how many kilograms of food an elephant eats  per day??

 On average, elephant eat about 200-400 kilograms of food per day ,baby elephant that are about 4-6 years old, eat about 50-100 kilograms per day (10 percents of weight)

Why do elephants eat so much ? 

Because elephants can only absorb this energy 40 percent of the total food eaten.

In Thailand , 5 types of food for elephants. 

Grassese, Bamboos, Greepers and Flews,Trees Palms and Shrubs ,Field Crops such as corns, millet ,pineapple, edamame, Sugar cane Melon. Most of them use Field Crops and Grassese most of Thailand use grass called “Napier grass” in terms of tourism we will give bananas as food instead  grassese but it depends on place where food can be easily found. The feeding portion of each food or plants will vary depending on the type of food.
